Her mother, who occupied the front passenger seat at the time, suffered injuries to her neck, left shoulder, and right knee. In the time since the accident, Azizgolshani has also suffered a brain hemorrhage and worsening dementia symptoms.
The Lawsuit Against the City of Beverly Hills
The plaintiffs filed a lawsuit against the City of Beverly Hills in June 2018, hoping to recover compensation to cover their medical bills and other costs associated with the traffic collision injuries they suffered. The case moved to trial, but the attorneys announced that a settlement had been reached between the parties before the trial concluded.
