The search is underway for a driver who fatally struck a bicyclist and fled the scene on July 26, 2018. The California Highway Patrol is asking the public to provide any information that might lead to the identification of the driver who killed a cyclist in the Winchester area.
Passers-by found the victim, later identified as Thomas Dyer, on the side of the road around 9:30 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol. Dyer’s son took to social media and posted a heartfelt message in remembrance of his father.
“There won’t be a day that goes by that I won’t miss him,” his son wrote. “Wishing he could be here with his wonderful grandkids. Grandkids who will never know the amazing guy their Pops was.”
The Temecula CHP office urges anyone who has information regarding the identity of the driver to contact them.
